Ready to Transform Education?
What if there was a different way?
If you’re an educator who dreams of something more than standardized tests and tired curriculum frameworks, you’re not alone. You know your students deserve better than rows of desks and disconnected learning. You’ve heard the promises of “innovative education” before—only to watch them fade into more of the same.
Green School New Zealand’s International Green Educator courses offer something genuinely transformative: a nature-based learning model that works. Here, sustainability isn’t an add-on topic—it’s woven into everything. Students don’t just learn about the world; they engage with it.
What Makes This Different
Purpose-Driven Learning
Watch students come alive when their work responds to real-world challenges. No more “When will I ever use this?” When learning has purpose, motivation follows naturally.
Nature as Classroom
Step outside the four walls. Discover how learning in nature builds resilience, creativity, and genuine curiosity. See firsthand how students who struggled indoors can thrive among trees and rivers.
Authentic Student Agency
Give young people genuine ownership of their learning journey. Experience what happens when students have real voice and choice, deeply connected to their place and community.
Real Relationships Matter
Build stronger connections between students, teachers, and community. Learn how emotional safety creates the foundation for authentic learning and risk-taking.
Educator Camp Overview
The Green Educator Camp is an immersive, hands-on experience designed for teachers, facilitators, and changemakers seeking to deepen their understanding of holistic, nature-based education. Hosted at the award-winning Green School New Zealand campus beneath the majestic Taranaki Maunga, this 3–5 day retreat invites participants to reconnect with nature, self, and community while exploring the practical tools and philosophies behind Green School’s transformational learning model.
Participants will leave with a Green Educator NZ Certificate, signifying their readiness to integrate principles of sustainability, wellbeing, learner agency, and experiential design into their own learning spaces.
